From Wednesday 1 April 2026 the adult minimum wage will increase from $23.50 to $23.95 per hour, representing a 2% increase.
The starting-out and training minimum wage rates will continue to be set at 80% of the adult minimum wage. As a result, these rates will increase from $18.80 to $19.16 per hour.
KiwiSaver Increase
This will increase to 3.5% from 1 April 2026.
